RAMP are delighted to Accredited (AEP) the only OFQUAL accredited Level 6 vocational course to Veterinary Physiotherapy for multi species. Successful graduates wholly meet RAMP education entry criteria. The qualification is awarded by iPET Network and has been in development for the past year. In addition the scaffolding Level 4 and 5 programs have been awarded RAMP recognition (REP) status.
Vocational education pathways are becoming more popular as learners are looking for choices other than traditional full time University education and RAMP are passionate about ensuring these programs meet professional standards. However RAMP are confident Wendy Vaughan, Director of The Academy of Veterinary Physiotherapy and her team have developed a programme which will deliver a degree level standard of education, in a flexible and modern way.
The program is delivered in three parts to replicate the natural progression through a traditional three year program. Learners are awarded qualifications at Level 4, 5 and 6 which are equivalent to the levels of first to third year on a full time BSc program.
Successful graduation from the level 6 program will stand alone to meet RAMP entry criteria, however the Level 4 and 5 programs can be submitted along side other educational achievements to support a Pathway Route Application.
The program is delivered as a blended learning model with online theory and face to face practical session. In line with RAMP AEP status over 1000 practical hours are evidenced and the external quality assurance is provided by iPET Network which is an OFQUAL recognised awarding organisation.
Huge congratulations to Wendy and her team and special thanks to our hard working Education Officer Amanda Stears for facilitating the assessment of this program.
