RAMP are delighted to welcome Animal Therapy Solutions led by Helen Tompkins who presented their Level 4 Diploma in Equine Sports Massage for assessment as a RAMP Recognised Education Provider and was approved today.
Although RAMP regulate Animal Chiropractors, Osteopaths and Physiotherapists, massage is a module that is included in the mapping process of each profession and therefore this program can be counted as the massage component of any future RAMP submission. The programme presents 46 academic credits out of the 120 required at level 4 and will be also count as 150 practical education hours therefore providing all the massage compliment and some top up credits for anatomy, physiology ,pathology, exercise therapy, and wider veterinary healthcare requirements.
The course which runs over a year, is externally examined and is fully accredited by Open Awards, an OFQUAL regulated Recognised Awarding Organisation (RAO) who have awarded a Level 4 academic learning level.
The approval of this course is part of the RAMP initiative to find shorter courses, which are RAO accredited at RQF level 4 (or national equivalent) and above, that will either combine to reach RAMP educational criteria or provide a route for some Practitioners to top up their education to meet RAMP entry criteria.
Welcome Helen and Team and we look forward to working with you!
